Just completed is eDIGImag’s e-book on ‘The Business of Photography’. Not another book, surely? Well, we like to think the build of this e-book, coupled with a workshop, is of great consideration and certainly Value Added.

  3. How to use the Internet, along with your web site and printed media to crack your market.
  4. A work flow model that maximizes profit.
  5. Going from Camera to Print – photographic and exhibition papers.
  6. How to build up your package portfolio.
  7. Focused web site design and deployment, integrated with your marketing material.
  8. Expanding on the ‘1000 fans’ scenario.
  9. The principles of selling your product, your photographic output.
  10. Using imaging processing software to standardize your digital picture quality.
This e-book is available via this Blog. Just leave a comment below and we’ll negotiate.
Also, in South Africa, for the time being, we will be running a couple of workshops using the subject matter mentioned in the e-book for individual ‘training’ as well as group work-shopping.
Our final workshop takes place in December 2008 at the famed “Aloe Ridge Hotel & Conference Center”. This two day workshop takes in the theory and the practical of quick starting a photography business for individual photographers. Stock photography your niche? We’ll give you some pointers and eye-openers. Just want to sell prints? This is the workshop for you – from your camera to final print and of course a market place to sell your wares. Researched, tried and tested, with case-studies. The practical side of this workshop lets you gain experience and confidence  in your photography. Wild ideas on ‘design’ for Business Cards, Flyers, Web sites and marketing material. We hand out a CD/DVD loaded with information, templates and free-software.
Takes place in a prime photo-opportunity location – wild life, scenery, people. Practical photography begins here – on site experienced photographers for hints and tips and constructive information you can use.
